Senior Field Delivery Manager - Scotland

Purpose of the Role

Lead and inspire a team of Field Technicians and SVAs responsible for installing, maintaining, and monitoring meter and data logging equipment.

Deliver exceptional customer outcomes by managing daily operations and shaping the future strategy within your area.

Support the UK Delivery Manager with daily tasks and step in during their absence.

Offer expert guidance and ensure consistent operations for Field Delivery Managers.

Champion compliance, new initiatives, and ongoing improvement across the field.

Main Responsibilities

Lead the field team, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.

Hit KPIs, reduce aborted work, and support growth targets.

Motivate and develop colleagues, manage resources and budgets, and ensure operational consistency.

Support Field Delivery Managers with policies, compliance, and embedding new initiatives.

Represent IMSERV at workshops and projects.

  • Service Delivery: Drive team performance, meet KPIs, improve productivity and customer experience, and use data to boost results.
  • Safety: Promote safety culture, ensure compliance, and share best practices through audits.
  • People Management: Lead and mentor technicians, support their development, and guide Field Delivery Managers.
  • Budget Management: Manage staffing, forecast needs, monitor costs, and drive efficiency.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Deliver outstanding service, resolve issues, and embed best practices.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations, implement corrective actions, and keep accurate records.
  • Customer Engagement & Business Growth: Build relationships, understand customer needs, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to strategy.

  • IOSH Level 2
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in engineering

Essential

  • Proven team management experience
  • Good understanding of UK utilities
  • Strong knowledge of the metering industry
  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Health and safety and quality management systems knowledge
  • Experience in field-based operational leadership
  • Field project management skills
  • Proven record in similar roles, especially people management in a field environment

  • Valid UK driving licence
