About the Role

To support the field delivery of the Alt HAN Crowded Meter Room project across the UK.

This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of field operations through technical governance, quality assurance, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement activities.

The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for field delivery teams, providing guidance, assurance, and oversight whilst driving operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the field delivery and technical compliance of the Alt HAN Crowded Meter Room project
  • Leadership and oversight of Alt HAN Field Technicians.
  • Monitor workmanship standards and identify opportunities for improvement across operational delivery teams.
  • Conduct site inspections and assurance activities to ensure works meet all applicable health and safety requirements.
  • Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, incidents, and repeat defects, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and associated health and safety requirements.
  • Liaise with building owners, managing agents, landlords, facilities teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support access negotiations, technical approvals, and project planning activities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the business during customer meetings, technical reviews, audits, and site visits.
  • Monitor service delivery against KPIs, SLAs and internal business objectives
  • Contribute to operational reporting, governance meetings, and strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Drive performance improvements to reduce defects, delays, and customer impact.
  • Review and approve technical designs, installation methodologies and engineering solutions.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex technical and operational issues.
  • Develop quality assurance processes, audit programs and governance controls.
  • Monitor trends in defects, incidents and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and competency development of field personnel.
  • Support business growth initiatives, new customer mobilisation and service development activities.
  • What you'll need
  • Proven technical experience within the metering industry, in particular complex installations
  • Strong understanding of H&S and compliance requirements within the metering industry
  • Able to work under own initiative, whilst managing and prioritizing multiple tasks autonomously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently lead and contribute to internal and external meetings at various organizational levels as required
  • The ability to make clear and concise decisions whilst managing conflicting demands
  • Exceptional attention to quality and detail
  • Proficient in the use of office-based software (MS Teams/Excel/Power Point etc.)
  • Flexible approach to travel and working away from home as required
  • Experience leading technical or operational teams.
  • Experience conducting field-based audits, inspections or assurance activities.
  • Experience undertaking incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Experience in the use of Auto CAD or similar software
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and the relevant duty holder requirements
  • Understanding of ISO 9001
  • Understanding of performance management through KPIs and SLAs.
  • H&S related qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH or similar)
  • BS7671, C&G 2330/2393 or other relevant electrical qualifications
