Purpose of Role
Ensure building maintenance and housekeeping are performed to a high standard, cost-effectively, and in compliance with legislation and company procedures. Manage day-to-day operational and property compliance at the Corporate Head Offices and other facilities owned or occupied by IMServ. Provide compliance reporting and technical support to ensure the safe and efficient use of business facilities and assets. Offer out-of-hours on-call support.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage third-party contractors providing services on FME.
- Conduct weekly bell tests and legionella recordings, maintaining up-to-date records for audits.
- Schedule and oversee annual PAT testing.
- Plan and supervise building maintenance and repairs.
- Handle reports of breakdowns, damages, or repairs, and manage repair processes.
- Maintain building safety for occupants, visitors, and contractors.
- Manage fire safety prevention and security systems.
- Support H&S Office in emergency evacuation planning and safety procedures.
- Perform routine building inspections, produce condition reports, and gather details for capital investments.
- Recommend preventative works and refurbishments.
- Manage on-site facilities contractors, ensuring high-quality and safe practices.
- Review risk assessments from third parties on FME tasks.
- Conduct routine checks on plant and machinery, liaising with maintenance providers.
- Coordinate with landlords and local authorities regarding building safety, condition, and security.
- Manage access/ID cards and report lost or forgotten cards.
- Be available for emergency call-outs and liaise with M&E contractors.
- Oversee waste management, ensuring compliance with ISO, legislative, and ESG standards.
- Support requests related to Health and Safety, ESG, or ISO standards.
- Liaise with security companies and manage security systems and CCTV, ensuring functionality and compliance with data protection laws.
Person Specification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in building and facilities management.
- IOSH and ISO 14001 certifications.
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
