The MAP Manager will be responsible for setting up, leading, and owning our new Meter Asset Provider (MAP) service from the ground up. This role will design, build, and implement the full MAP service covering approval, operational processes, asset data management, billing, financial controls, and commercial oversight. This role will ensure we have a fully approved, compliant, scalable, and financially sound MAP operation. A key focus is ensuring data quality, accurate customer billing linked directly to asset data, and strong end-to-end controls across operations, field, data, commercial, and finance. The MAP Manager will act as the main business owner for the service, driving operational excellence, supporting EBIT delivery, and preparing the function for long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- MAP Service Setup & Approval: Establish the MAP service from initial setup through to approval. Shape the operating model, governance, data and financial frameworks. Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Develop a service designed to scale as demand grows.
- Asset Data & Quality: Own the MAP asset database as a single, trusted source of information. Work closely with Field and Data Operations to maintain accurate asset lifecycle records. Introduce data quality controls and clear exception management processes.
- Billing, Revenue & Finance Alignment: Oversee accurate MAP billing based on validated asset data. Align billing activity with Finance processes, standards and controls. Provide billing outputs to support collections and revenue assurance activity. Contribute to EBIT through billing accuracy, cost control and asset optimisation.
- Governance, Controls & Compliance: Embed clear governance, controls and audit-ready processes across the MAP service. Monitor performance and risk, identifying issues early and supporting resolution. Ensure contractual, regulatory and financial requirements are met.
- Commercial & Contract Management: Manage the MAP commercial model, including pricing and leasing arrangements. Identify opportunities to improve value and support future growth. Contribute to contract discussions and the development of future propositions.
- Reporting, Insight & Ongoing Improvement: Provide clear, leadership-focused reporting on KPIs, asset health, billing performance and risk. Offer insight to support decision-making, forecasting and planning. Act as the business owner for MAP, encouraging continuous improvement and readiness to scale.
