BERMUDA. SONOGRAPHER JOB

The client is now looking for a: SENIOR SONOGRAPHER
Key responsibilities include:
- Performs examinations utilizing appropriate imaging techniques and positioning
- Liaises and communicates with the Senior Imaging Technologist on a daily basis to ensure that all issues / occurrences are brought forward within 24 hours
- Coordinates staff daily work schedules to ensure that all duties/shifts are covered and assigned duties are completed on the day of service
- Reviews all exams for the day to ensure that all work is completed in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and all documents signed and ready for reporting on the day of service
- Leads daily activities (downtime procedures, add-ons, urgent cases, Emergency Room)
- Coordinate training and orientation of new employees and students

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Medical Imaging or Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution
- Registration / certification from an accredited program: General Sonography and / or Cardiac Sonography and / or Vascular Sonography
- Current ARDMS or equivalent registrations in one or more modalities: Level 1 – RDMS or RDCS – Level 2 – RDMS or RDCS OR RVT OR RMSKS
- 5 years of post-certification experience preferred with the applicable certification from an accredited institution
- Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (RDMS) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent
- Certification in one or more of the following:
Level 1 – Abdomen or/and OB/GYN or/and Adult Echo
Level 2 – as Level 1 plus one or more of the following: Vascular, Breast, Musculoskeletal, Pediatric Echo, Fetal Echo, Pediatric Sonography
- Must be eligible for registration with the Bermuda Health Council
- Excellent English (English Test may be required)
