IMS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Paramedic for a hospital in Gibraltar. The client is a candidate for commencement at the earliest possible opportunity, on a 5-month fixed term contract. Gibraltar with its high standard of living, sunny Mediterranean climate and modern English speaking hospitals is a highly attractive place to live and work.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Delivering emergency and non-emergency out-of-hospital care, medical retrieval, and health-related transport.
- Collaborating with other emergency services.
- Performing comprehensive patient assessment, pre-hospital care, and treatment for all categories of emergency (999) and urgent calls.
- Taking clinical lead when crewed with a less qualified clinician (e.g., Emergency Medical Technician or Ambulance Care Assistant).
- Acting as the primary attendant for patient care when paramedic-specific interventions are required.
- Providing professional supervision and mentorship to staff members.
Requirements
- Applicants must be registered with the UK’s HCPC.
- 3 year’s minimum experience.
- Available to start ASAP - mandatory.
- Full, clean driving license - Must hold a valid emergency driving qualification recognised for UK-style ambulances.
- Proven ability to apply JESIP principles in a multi-agency emergency environment. (Completion of JESIP courses is preferred).

- Salary bracket offered is between £37,230 to £40,140 per annum, pro rata based on years of reckonable service within the NHS or equivalent.
