BERMUDA. PHLEBOTOMIST REGISTERED NURSE VACANCY

Bermuda is renowned for a very high standard of living, outdoor activities, historical towns, beautiful beaches and its wonderful climate. The client is now looking for a PHLEBOTOMIST NURSE.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Functions as a member of a team to ensure smooth and efficient blood collection process
  • Provides skilled nursing care for clients who experience adverse reactions prior to, during and after blood drawing procedures
  • Manages donor deferrals
  • Administers injections as appropriate
  • Performs therapeutic aphaeresis and outpatient blood collection as needed

  • 3-year contracts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a nurse role
  • Graduate of Nursing with current registration from country of training/origin
  • Eligible for registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council
  • Day-to-day coordination of a Blood Donor Center would be an asset
  • Current certifications: CPR, ACLS preferred
  • Must have current CPR certification
  • Venipuncture and Aphaeresis experience
  • Knowledge of Terumo BCT instrument would be an asset
  • Knowledge of component preparation would be an asset
  • Excellent English
