Gibraltar. Cardiac Physiologist job for a 12-month locum contract required May 2026. IMS Recruitment is recruiting a registered Cardiac Physiologist for a hospital in Gibraltar. The client is seeking a candidate for a 12-month fixed term contract, starting in May 2026. Gibraltar, with its high standard of living, Mediterranean climate and modern English speaking hospitals, is a highly attractive place to live and work.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in catheter laboratory tests as well as either echocardiography or pacing (ideally being competent in all three areas).

Main Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the delivery of a specialist clinical service and deliver a high standard of care to all cardiac patients.
  • To competently perform a range of routine cardiac tests including Exercise Tolerance Testing and Holter Analysis.
  • Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, covering on-call PPCI as part of a 1 in 3 rota.
  • Out-patient and In-patient Echocardiography as well as TOE Support.
  • Pacing Follow Up Clinic (IBHRE / BHRS desirable).
  • Will have responsibility for junior staff.
Requirements:
  • 3 Years' minimum experience at a senior level.
  • BSc (Hons) Clinical Cardiac Physiology (or equivalent).
  • Current ILS / ALS and / or REACT certified is mandatory.
On Offer:
  • Salary based on experience. NHS Scales £64,614.00 to £78,664.00.
  • 12 month fixed-term role from 01/05/2026 to 01/05/2027.
  • Excellent accommodation provided.
  • Return flights.
