We are a well-established subcontract CNC machine shop offering a wide range of services to our customers.
We are seeking a Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our milling department.
You will be working on a range of XYZ milling machines, including 4th axis.
The machines have Siemens controls, and we program offline using One CNC.
We are a growing small business that takes pride in providing a clean, friendly working environment, where quality workmanship, personal responsibility and teamwork are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and set 3- and 4-axis mills (Siemens 828D, 810D).
- Produce components from technical drawings and solid models.
- Produce and optimise CNC programs from offline software (One CNC).
- Prove out CNC programs.
- Work to tight tolerance in a range of materials.
- Inspect own work before submitting to inspection.
- Ensure continuity of components (in-process inspection).
- Adhere to health & safety rules in the workplace.
- Adhere to procedures in the workplace.
- Skill and Experience
- Prior experience in programming, setting and operating CNC machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, calculating speeds and feeds, etc.
- Ability to work in metric and imperial units.
- Experience with Siemens controls desirable.
- Experience with One CNC desirable.
