We are looking for a Driver & Dispatcher to join our logistics team, someone who can handle deliveries and coordinate logistics operations with equal confidence. This role involves transporting goods to clients and managing the scheduling, tracking, and communication required to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Driver:
  • Safely and efficiently transport goods to customers and delivery points.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are properly secured.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes for timely arrivals.
  • Perform vehicle checks (pre-trip and post-trip inspections).
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel usage, mileage, and any incidents.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and collect delivery confirmations.
  • As a Dispatcher:
    • Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Track vehicles and deliveries using transport management systems.
    • Communicate with drivers, clients, and suppliers to address delivery issues.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date logistics and dispatch records.
    • Analyse delivery data to optimise routing and efficiency.
    • Liaise with 3PL providers and internal teams to support logistics flow.

    Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Previous experience as a driver, dispatcher, or both.
    • Familiarity with TMS software is a strong plus.
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Ability to lift and handle heavy loads.
    • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
    • Able to multitask and manage priorities under time pressure.
    • Knowledge of local routes, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
