In this role, you’ll help people with everyday activities, monitor wellbeing and create a positive, safe and comfortable environment. About the role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support patients with daily tasks, personal care, mobility and emotional wellbeing. You’ll work alongside nurses and care teams in hospitals, care homes or community settings, ensuring each person receives high-quality, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily care and patient support: You will assist patients throughout the day by providing mobility support, personal care, monitoring wellbeing and offering emotional reassurance. You’ll follow care plans, maintain cleanliness and safety, and communicate concerns to the senior care team.
- Assist patients with daily hygiene, washing, dressing and toileting, helping them feel comfortable and confident while maintaining dignity at all times.
- Monitoring & reporting: Observe patients’ wellbeing, mobility and health indicators. Report any changes promptly to nurses or supervisors to ensure timely response and safe care.
- Strong communication: Ability to communicate clearly, reassure patients and work closely with care teams.
Must-have
- Right to work in the UK: Ensure accurate reporting and safe support for patients.
- Physical Requirement: Ability to assist with mobility. This role involves helping patients move safely.
- Experience preferred: Previous care experience is beneficial, but motivated candidates without experience will also be considered.
