Whats this role about?

As a Locum or General Practitioner, you will deliver frontline medical care across GP practices, clinics, and community health services.

Duties include patient assessments, diagnostics, prescribing, managing long-term and acute conditions, safeguarding, and providing evidence-based treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver frontline medical care: providing patient assessments, diagnosing and managing conditions, prescribing medications, reviewing treatment plans, maintaining clear documentation, and supporting clinical teams across GP, locum, and community settings.
  • Clinical Diagnosis: assess and diagnose patient conditions using evidence-based approaches across primary care environments.
  • Prescribing & Treatment: provide safe prescribing, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making for both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Safeguarding & Notes: maintain accurate patient records, follow safeguarding protocols, and ensure continuity of care across services.

Qualifications

  • GMC registration required.
  • Right to work in the UK – must provide valid proof.
  • Enhanced DBS check – a valid Enhanced DBS is required or must be obtained before starting.
  • GP or Locum experience – essential.
  • Primary care background – experience supporting primary care, community services, or urgent care centres is required.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for supporting patients and clinical teams.
