We're looking for an experienced and driven Technical Trainer to join our team.

Reporting to the Training and Development Manager, you'll play a key role in developing the skills, competency and capability of our growing workforce across one of the world's most advanced monopile manufacturing facilities.

This is a highly visible and hands-on role where you'll spend significant time on the factory floor working alongside production teams, supervisors and technical specialists to ensure employees are trained, assessed and competent to carry out their roles safely and effectively.

You'll be responsible for delivering practical training, coaching individuals and teams, carrying out competency assessments and supporting the development of a best-in-class manufacturing workforce.

Working closely with operational departments, you'll identify training needs, develop engaging training programmes and create practical learning solutions that support both employee development and business performance.

You'll help embed safe working practices, improve skills capability and ensure training is aligned with operational requirements and industry standards.

A key part of the role will involve delivering practical and classroom-based training, conducting workplace assessments and verifying competency across a range of manufacturing disciplines.

We're particularly interested in candidates with welding, fabrication, vocational training or assessor experience, who can bring real-world industry knowledge and credibility when supporting our production teams.

You'll develop training materials, produce training schedules, maintain accurate competency records and utilise our Learning Management and Competency Management systems to ensure training compliance is effectively managed.

You'll monitor training effectiveness through observation, assessment and feedback, continuously improving programmes to meet the evolving needs of the business.

As our manufacturing operation continues to grow, you'll support the onboarding and development of new employees, helping them build the practical skills and confidence required to operate machinery, equipment and production processes safely and efficiently.

You'll act as a coach and mentor on the shop floor, working directly with employees to improve performance and encourage continuous learning.

To be successful, you'll have previous experience delivering technical or vocational training within a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, welding, construction or industrial environment.

You'll be confident engaging with employees at all levels and have a genuine passion for developing people and supporting learning in a practical workplace setting.

A recognised training or assessor qualification such as AET, PTLLS, TAQA, CAVA, Assessors Award, Internal Verifier qualification or equivalent would be highly advantageous.

Welding qualifications, welding inspection experience or practical fabrication knowledge would be particularly desirable.

You'll also possess excellent communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to balance both training delivery and competency assessment responsibilities.

In return, we can offer an attractive base salary.

  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
  • 5% employer pension contribution
