About Imran & Co Solicitors

Imran & Co Solicitors is a well-established and highly regarded specialist immigration law firm based in Whitechapel, London. We are recognised for providing high-quality legal advice and representation across all areas of UK Immigration, Asylum, Nationality, Human Rights, Appeals, and Judicial Review.

The Opportunity

Demand for our services has grown substantially, and we now hold more instructions than our current team can comfortably manage. To meet this demand without compromising the standard of advice and service our clients expect, we are looking to recruit an experienced Immigration Fee Earner on a percentage-based, fee-share arrangement. We have a significant and continuing flow of live matters ready to be picked up from day one. The successful candidate will step into a busy, established caseload and be paid a share of the fees they bill and collect.

This suits a confident, self-motivated immigration professional who wants to focus on doing excellent legal work and being rewarded directly for it, with the backing of an established firm's infrastructure, supervision, branding, and support staff.

How the Remuneration Works

  • You receive an agreed percentage of the fees billed and collected on the matters you handle.
  • The role is performance-based: there is no fixed salary, retainer, or guaranteed minimum.
  • Because we have a ready and substantial caseload to allocate, there is real, billable work available immediately — you are not building from nothing.
  • The exact percentage will be agreed with the successful candidate, taking into account experience, expertise, and the nature of the caseload.
  • Use of the firm's offices, case management systems, compliance framework, and support staff is provided throughout.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of private immigration matters from instruction through to completion, providing high-quality legal advice and preparing complex applications and legal representations. You will work alongside the firm's directors, solicitors, barristers, and support staff, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, compliance, and client care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an active caseload of private immigration matters from initial instruction through to decision.
  • Conduct client consultations and provide clear, practical, and strategic immigration advice.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality immigration applications, representations, and supporting evidence.
  • Draft detailed legal representations, witness statements, grounds of appeal, skeleton arguments, and Pre-Action Protocol letters.
  • Prepare appeal bundles for the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal.
  • Liaise with clients, the Home Office, barristers, experts, and other relevant organisations.
  • Ensure files are maintained in accordance with SRA, IAA, UKVI, AML, GDPR, and office compliance requirements.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.
  • Assist with supervising junior caseworkers and support staff where appropriate.

Areas of Immigration Law

The successful candidate should have experience in most of the following areas:

  • Skilled Worker Visas
  • Sponsor Licence Applications and Sponsor Compliance
  • Spouse and Family Visas
  • Adult Dependant Relative Applications
  • Visitor Visas
  • Student and Graduate Visas
  • Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
  • British Citizenship and Naturalisation
  • Human Rights Applications
  • Private Life Applications
  • Asylum and Protection Claims
  • EU Settlement Scheme
  • Administrative Reviews
  • Immigration Appeals
  • Judicial Review
  • Deportation and Revocation Matters

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience handling UK immigration matters independently.
  • Solicitor, Legal Executive (CILEX), IAA Accredited Adviser, or experienced Immigration Fee Earner with equivalent expertise.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK Immigration Rules, Home Office policy, and UKVI guidance.
  • Strong drafting skills with the ability to prepare detailed legal representations.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Tribunal advocacy experience.
  • Experience preparing Judicial Review matters.
  • Experience supervising junior staff.
  • Ability to speak Bengali, Sylheti, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, or other community languages would be advantageous but is not essential.

What We Offer

  • An established and substantial caseload — live, billable matters ready from day one, with no need to source your own clients.
  • Percentage-based earnings that reflect the volume of work available.
  • A respected, established brand with a steady flow of instructions.
  • Full office, case management, and compliance infrastructure.
  • Administrative and support staff to help you maximise billable time.
  • The autonomy to run your matters your way, with supervision and support when you need it.
