Venture Builder

Improbable is a Venture Builder. We work with leaders to create businesses in AI transformation, the metaverse, and web3. We create businesses from scratch and invest in existing ones. Our central services teams help ventures succeed, including early-stage prototyping and initial product development, which is where this role sits.

Your Mission

As a Principal Web3 Solidity Engineer at Improbable, you will collaborate with web3 ventures to accelerate their go-to-market process. You will work with their leadership teams to design, prototype, and launch initial versions of their dApps. This is a hands-on, strategic role involving collaboration with executives, from identifying customer problems to deploying real dApps used by the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architect, build, launch, and maintain Dapps—from concept to community usage.

• Develop on-chain logic in smart contracts and connect them to web front-ends for crypto users and newcomers.

• Work with business leads to define product roadmaps, set vision and strategy, and serve as a sounding board for venture leadership.

• Collaborate closely with the Somnia Blockchain team and provide product feedback to their developers.

Why You’re Made For This

We seek an experienced Web3 Engineer with expertise in EVM-based smart contracts using Solidity, Web3 JS/TS libraries for contract interactions, and experience with The Graph.

• You have shipped multiple production-grade Dapps using Solidity.

• You possess strong hands-on skills with the Foundry blockchain development framework.

• You have built web apps with TypeScript (preferably React or Next.js) and used wagmi hooks for smart contract integration.

• You have a deep understanding of blockchain architecture, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155), and non-standard token versions.

• You are knowledgeable about Solidity best practices and security vulnerabilities.

• You enjoy solving complex, ambiguous problems and working across disciplines.

• You are passionate about the web3 community.

Optional Skills

Additional helpful experience includes:

• Creating Subgraphs with The Graph protocol or designing smart contracts for optimal indexability.

• Experience in DeFi protocols like UniswapV2/V3 or AAVE.

• Familiarity with Solidity fuzz testing, Slither, or Mithril.

• Using the Hardhat testing framework.
