Job Summary
The Head of Marketing / Marketing Director is a pivotal position within the management team, responsible for developing and managing Impressionâs marketing strategy. They report to and work closely with the Commercial Director to drive business growth. This is a varied role that touches on various aspects of the agency, however, the primary focus will be to drive growth through a broad range of marketing activities. The Head of Marketing / Marketing Director is responsible for crafting activities and campaigns to reach and connect with Impressionâs target prospects and drive highâvalue opportunities for the growth team. This is a dynamic, strategic and demanding position and one that is vital to achieving the agencyâs growth ambitions.
Department Responsibilities
- The design and development of âImpressionâs annual marketing strategyâ, which drives the right volume of highâvalue leads for the new business team
- Collaborate with department heads to create and deliver nine bespoke product marketing plans to effectively promote each of our core service lines, holding each department accountable for delivering against their plan
- Own value marketing performance data and make strategic investment decisions to grow Impression profitably
- Create, own and report against Impressionâs annual marketing budget, ensuring value is delivered through any investments made
- Ensure that Impression is positioned as a strategic agency partner through award wins, thought leadership content, events, white papers and webinars
- Work with the People Director to ensure Impressionâs value proposition is known across the industry and supports new talent acquisition
- Evolve and maintain Impression\âs brand, visual identity, and key messaging, ensuring consistency and impact across all touchpoints
- Have solid commercial awareness and understanding of Impressionâs business model and how you and your team add value to the company, and the part you play in driving retention, growth and profit
- Maintain extensive knowledge of the performance marketing landscape, key competitors and industry trends
- Plan, organise and deliver Impressionâs events schedule to drive leads and position the agency as an expert in its field. This includes roundtables, workshops, networking and private dining events
- Foster and manage relationships with key external stakeholders to lead the coordination of successful marketing events
- Work in partnership with the Head of Growth to manage Impressionâs outbound strategy and maintain an industryâleading pitch to conversion rate
Team Responsibilities
- Ensure the marketing department is wellâresourced and within a managed budget
- Ensure effective output from your direct team and the marketing output from the entire agency
- Ensure all OKRs set at management team level are met through the effective development and management of your team
- Nurture a culture of open, candid communication with all team members (both in your team and across the agency) feeling valued
- Be a true leader, demonstrating and sharing expertise across your team and the wider agency
- Ensure the marketing team have development plans, including upâtoâdate objectives, with team members developing and progressing
- Own department recruitment: planning resource and structures based on forecast sales and team development
Salary
Salary from ÂŁ50,000 depending on experience (+ÂŁ6,000 London Weighting if you live in the Greater London area). This role is a hybrid role, in line with our flexible working policy. We look to hire candidates who are no more than a 90âminute journey away from our office locations to ensure your personal time is protected and that you\âre able to travel into the office when necessary.
