This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts & Finance Manager to join a well established and growing business with an outstanding reputation within its sector and a strong, longstanding client base. Operating within a fast paced and project driven environment, the role will take responsibility for overseeing the day to day finance function across multiple entities, whilst supporting senior leadership with budgeting, forecasting, reporting and wider financial operations. The successful individual will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, producing accurate management information, managing a small finance team and ensuring the smooth running of all accounting processes. This position would suit a hands on finance professional who enjoys variety, autonomy and being part of a collaborative and ambitious business continuing to build on its success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day finance function, overseeing all accounting operations and leading a small finance team.
- Produce month end management accounts, reconciliations and financial reporting across multiple business entities.
- Prepare Profit & Loss reports, forecasts and project based financial analysis to support senior management decision making.
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities across clients, locations and operational projects.
- Oversee sales and purchase ledger processes, maintaining accurate records and strong financial controls.
- Manage payroll administration, creditor processes and company credit card systems.
- Complete bank and intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with year end accounts preparation alongside external accountants and auditors.
- Produce weekly debtor and creditor reports, supporting effective cash flow and credit control management.
- Lead weekly finance meetings, delegating workloads and ensuring key deadlines are achieved.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience within an Accounts & Finance Manager or similar senior finance position.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.
- High attention to detail, with strong administrative and financial accuracy skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, with strong overall Microsoft Office capability.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to make informed and commercially aware decisions.
- Previous team leadership, supervisory, or people management experience.
- Full clean UK driving licence required.
