We're working with a well established and highly regarded organisation who are looking to appoint a Pre-Litigation Claims Handler to join their busy Bradford office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, forward thinking team specialising in defending EL/PL claims.
The Opportunity
As a Pre-Litigation Claims Handler, you will play a key role in managing a caseload of Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims from initial instruction through to resolution. Working within a structured and process driven environment, you'll be responsible for progressing claims efficiently while maintaining high standards of communication and client service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working methodically, thrives in a busy team and is keen to continue developing their expertise within litigation.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Managing a caseload of pre-litigation EL/PL claims from inception through to settlement
- Handling all correspondence with clients, third parties and insurers in a professional and timely manner
- Gathering and analysing evidence including witness statements, medical reports and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with relevant protocols, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Updating case management systems accurately and maintaining detailed file records
- Identifying opportunities for early resolution and cost effective outcomes
- Working to set KPIs and service level agreements within a performance driven environment
- Supporting senior team members with more complex claims where required
- Contributing to a collaborative team culture and sharing best practice
About You
- A minimum of 18 months' experience handling litigation claims (EL/PL preferred)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a structured caseload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A methodical, process driven approach to work
- Confident IT skills, including experience with case management systems
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
