An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team based in Harrogate. You will play a key role in supporting the Finance team with day to day accounting activities, helping to ensure accurate financial reporting and the smooth running of finance operations across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Finance team with the timely preparation of monthly accounts
- Record and reconcile all bank account transactions on a monthly basis
- Support the preparation of monthly transaction reports
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations as required
- Provide support with year end audit schedules and the collection of supporting information
- Assist with annual internal financial audits across support locations
- Support the annual budgeting process
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects and financial analysis
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain efficient and accurate finance processes
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a finance or administration role
- Good understanding of finance and accounting processes is desirable
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Experience using accounting software would be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues
- Positive, proactive and team focused approach
- Commitment to delivering accurate, high quality work and excellent service
