An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Machine Production Operative to join a successful and growing organisation based in York. Working within a modern facility, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities of Machine Production Operative:
- Set up and operate production machinery in line with company procedures
- Carry out equipment checks and ensure machinery is ready for production
- Follow production schedules and prioritise tasks effectively
- Complete quality checks and visual inspections to ensure standards are maintained
- Accurately complete production records and documentation
- Identify and report any issues affecting quality, efficiency, or production output
- Ensure materials are handled correctly to minimise waste
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised working environment
- Support continuous improvement activities and suggest process improvements
- Work closely with colleagues and team leaders to meet production requirements
Skills Experience:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or machine operating environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and consistently
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to work with precision
- A practical and technical mindset with a willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to follow processes and instructions carefully
