This is an excellent opportunity to join a national business as Payroll Co-ordinator, supporting the finance team with the accurate processing of weekly and monthly payrolls while ensuring all HMRC reporting and payroll related submissions are completed within required deadlines. Working within a busy finance environment, this role is ideal for someone with strong payroll knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate confidently with employees and stakeholders at all levels. You will play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy, supporting compliance processes and contributing to wider finance team activities.

Key Responsibilities as Payroll Co-ordinator

  • Process weekly payroll
  • Process monthly payroll
  • Complete EPS submissions and HMRC reporting
  • Analyse weekly timesheet data and provide payroll related reporting
  • Manage Attachment of Earnings requirements and payments
  • Support annual P11D processing across the business
  • Respond to payroll and payslip queries from employees
  • Process new starter and leaver information including P45 administration
  • Produce annual Gender Pay Gap reporting using internal systems
  • Submit pension and union fee deductions to relevant bodies
  • Support the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks

Experience Required

  • Previous payroll experience
  • Knowledge of PAYE, NI calculations and payroll best practice
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling queries
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
  • Team player with a collaborative and adaptable approach
