Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for a flexible part-time position within a successful and growing organisation? We are recruiting for a Part Time Payroll Co-ordinator to join a busy finance team based in Leeds. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working in a varied role, has excellent attention to detail and is confident managing payroll responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will support the processing of both weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring all submissions and payroll-related administration are completed accurately and within required deadlines. You will also provide support to employees with payroll queries and assist with wider finance administration where needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Process weekly payroll
- Process monthly payroll
- Complete EPS submissions and HMRC reporting
- Analyse weekly timesheet data and provide payroll-related reporting
- Manage Attachment of Earnings requirements and payments
- Support annual P11D processing across the business
- Respond to payroll and payslip queries from employees
- Process new starter and leaver information including P45 administration
- Produce annual Gender Pay Gap reporting using internal systems
- Submit pension and union fee deductions to relevant bodies
- Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Previous payroll experience preferred
- Good understanding of PAYE, National Insurance and payroll procedures
- Strong Excel and data-handling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Positive and adaptable approach to work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Salary up to £17.95 per hour
