About the role
We are looking for Consultants and Senior Consultants with strong core consulting skills to join our Delivery team. Our Consultants and Senior Consultants provide administrative, project management and analytical work across our projects. Their day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed analysis on both quantitative and qualitative information; working closely with clients at a frontline level to deliver change, and creating documented deliverables including reports and presentations – all in which aid the progress of our work. Our Consultants and Senior Consultants support their colleagues on specific elements of a project – with tasks that range from administration and coordination of project activities, supporting workshops, working with frontline professionals, and capturing key insights to share with their project Managers. Our Consultants and Senior Consultants are curious and inquisitive, and they take a genuine interest in our clients to work together in solving the important challenges they face. They are flexible, adapt positively to change, and have a great deal of emotional intelligence and empathy.
About you
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience of working within a change and transformation environment within the public sector, social care, local government, or health environments, including supporting senior project team members with specific workstreams.
- Demonstrated an ability to collaborate effectively on projects, quickly building strong relationships and addressing resistance as it occurs.
- Experienced in facilitating, developing, or supporting workshops, focus groups, or similar activities, with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Evidence of delivering high-quality outcomes and deliverables while working at a swift pace on projects.
- Comfortable adapting quickly to new topics, clients, or acquiring new skills when necessary.
- Experience in building and managing relationships across various stakeholders.
- High levels of empathy and emotional intelligence, combined with resilience for handling the challenges faced by consultants.
- Solid understanding of working with values-driven individuals and organisations.
- Understanding of the ethical responsibilities and practical application of ethics within a consulting relationship.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software, including capability to analyse data using Excel.
- Presentation skills tailored to various stakeholders.
- Producing high-quality documents and reports (in Powerpoint and Word).
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to self-manage work.
About the responsibilities
- Support and deliver on specific workstreams of a project from initiation, execution, to evaluation, with guidance from the Project Manager.
- This will include working with a Manager on projects to mobilise workstreams and projects including setup and data requests.
- Host sessions with multi-agency professionals, including case reviews.
- Perform data analysis, and trajectory mapping.
- Support the delivery of resident consultation and governance approaches with clients.
- Develop insights and recommendations for clients.
- Create data dashboards and trajectories.
- Develop strengths-based practice using behavioural science.
- Drive client-led work with project management tools.
- Improve processes through analysis.
- Facilitating work at the interface between organisations to drive forward outcomes.
- Ensure effective project management with the team.
- Assist clients with developing high-quality ideas that will generate impactful results.
- Maintain project pace, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Produce high-quality reports and presentations with guidance from the Project Manager.
- Monitor and share project impact regularly.
- Ensure project momentum, achieving timely and within-budget completion while maintaining project impact and quality.
Relationship Management
- Cultivate strong client relationships, particularly with operational staff and key project stakeholders, taking ownership of specific client interactions across projects to support the team with broader stakeholders.
- Support client staff to advance projects and share EDGEWORK methods.
- Continuously monitor the quality of relationships and implement actions to enhance quality where necessary, escalating issues to Managers when required.
- Foster connections across IMPOWER, seeking support and sharing insights.
- Collaborate closely with the internal project team, addressing challenges as needed.
Internal Business Development
- Contribute internally to new business approaches, sharing skills and knowledge.
- Share lessons learned from project delivery to improve future delivery of projects and development of client proposals.
- Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools and intellectual property relevant to the advancement of our sector specific value propositions.
- Help promote IMPOWER externally, through online materials, marketing activities and professional networks.
- Share expertise and knowledge with the wider company through presentations and training sessions to enhance colleagues' skills.
- Use self-awareness and feedback to set personal goals and address areas for improvement.
- Seek help when facing new challenges and share skills with colleagues to support your team.
- Actively develop your knowledge, skills and experience of working within a specific value proposition as part of development expert level capability in a chosen sector.
