Salary: £22,000 + Commission

Location: Plymouth (Hybrid working: 2 days in office, 2 days from home)

Contract: Full-time (4 days per week, Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm)

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

The Opportunity

We’re scaling fast and we’re looking for someone early in their career who’s ready to learn quickly, build confidence, and make things happen. Working directly beneath the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll get hands-on experience in business development, relationship management, and event delivery from day one. Over the next year, we’re delivering National Interview Week (March 2027) alongside multiple Industry Edition events, connecting students with professionals across the UK through fully remote interview experiences. This is a junior, entry-level role with a strong sales focus. You’ll be supported, but you’ll also be expected to be proactive, speak to people every day, and take ownership of your pipeline.

You’ll be responsible for helping bring in:

  • 3,000+ professionals for National Interview Week
  • 300 volunteers per Industry Edition event (Monthly events from Oct 2026 to May 2027)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Business development & outreach: Reaching out to companies and professionals via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Learning how to build relationships: Developing confidence in speaking with professionals and maintaining ongoing engagement
  • Selling the opportunity: Explaining the value of volunteering and securing commitment
  • Managing your pipeline: Tracking outreach, follow-ups, and confirmations using SharePoint and MS365
  • Supporting volunteer onboarding: Making sure volunteers are prepared and ready for remote delivery
  • Event delivery support: Helping manage a fast-paced, high-pressure environment during live event weeks
  • Event Webinars: Delivery event delivery webinars to volunteers
  • Communication: Ensuring you communicate consistently with COO and Director of Education to support students across UK

KPIs & Targets

  • Outreach to 10+ companies per day
  • Minimum 3 phone calls per day
  • Minimum 3 meetings per week
  • Deliver 300 confirmed volunteers per monthly Industry Edition event
  • Deliver 3,000 confirmed volunteers for National Interview Week
  • Ensure all volunteers are confirmed at least 3 weeks before delivery

Commission

  • Earn 1.5% commission on any upsell where a volunteering company becomes a paying client (Example: Close a £30,000 sponsorship package and earn £450 commission)
