Climax is one of the leading creative lights of independent games development with an outstanding line of top published titles. You will be based out of our new state of the art space located in the heart of the city of London EC1. We are seeking an experienced Technical Animator with proven skills working on Console titles to join our award-winning team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a AAA IP where you will be responsible for bridging the gap between the animation, design, and code teams and helping to ensure the smooth integration of characters, animation, and cinematics.
This is a great opportunity to work with a team of passionate and experienced developers on a AAA project.
- Experience working as a Technical Animator on at least one published console title.
- Proven experience working within Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Strong proficiency with character pipelines, animation systems, and cinematics.
- Experience with procedural animation systems (Foot IK, Look-At, Realtime IK).
- Familiar with in-game animation processes and workflows.
- Experience in using version control systems.
- Experience working with MetaHuman (advantageous but not crucial).
- Experience with physics-based animation, chaos physics, ragdolls, cloth, hair (advantageous but not crucial).
- Be able to work collaboratively with artists, animators, designers, and programmers.
- Enjoys a creative challenge with the passion and motivation to make great games.
- Experience of helping to plan and schedule workflows.

- Create and maintain animation systems for gameplay and cinematic content.
- Keep to project vision for best practices, methodologies used, and quality benchmark.
- Work with the wider art, design, and code teams to champion best technical practices.
- As part of reviews, able to provide constructive critique and solutions.
- Ability to self-motivate as well as motivate other members of the team.
