What the Role Entails
- Collaborate with artists and engine programmers to design rendering solutions, write shaders, and achieve artistic effects.
- Design art resource specifications to ensure that the project's art assets are implemented in accordance with the specifications.
- Profile game performance and design optimization plans.
- Work with artists and engine programmers to resolve issues that arise during the daily use of tools and engines.
- Identify problems in the art pipeline and develop tools to improve the efficiency of the art workflow.
- Collaborate with artists and engine programmers to research and develop new tools and new features of the game engine, develop sample projects, and promote the application of technologies.
Who We Look For
- Have a solid art foundation: Be able to understand structure, light, color, material, etc. well.
- Be familiar with common art tools: Such as Houdini or Blender, 3dMax or Maya, Substance.
- Be familiar with scripting languages: At least one of Python and Vex, and have experience in plugin tool development.
- Be familiar with shader languages: At least one of Cg, GLSL, and HLSL.
- Be familiar with common rendering algorithms and computer graphics.
- Be familiar with C# and C++ programming languages.
- Have a good command of the Unreal Engine.
- Be proficient in at least one of the profiling tools: GPA, Adreno Profiler, RenderDoc, Debugger.
- Be proficient in the art production process of game characters, and be well-versed in rendering technologies for character skin, hair, cloth, etc.
- Have excellent team communication and cooperation skills, be able to adapt to new creative challenges, be helpful and willing to share.
- Have fluent English communication skills.
