Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for something different?

This is an opportunity to step away from the pressures of traditional nursing roles and develop highly specialised clinical skills within an established, award-winning private clinic.

Liverpool Varicose Veins Clinic is looking for two motivated, patient-focused Registered Nurses to train as Nurse Microsclerotherapists while also taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the clinic.

No previous experience in vein treatments or microsclerotherapy is required. Full specialist training and ongoing mentoring will be provided.

You will learn to run your own nurse-led microsclerotherapy clinics, work alongside our Consultant Vein Specialist during minimally invasive varicose vein procedures, and play a key role in ensuring the clinic continues to deliver an exceptional standard of patient care.

The role offers predictable daytime hours, no nights, no weekends and no on-call, together with genuine clinical autonomy and the opportunity to develop a new area of expertise.

About Liverpool Varicose Veins Clinic

Liverpool Varicose Veins Clinic is a specialist private vein clinic with more than nine years' experience treating patients with varicose and thread veins.

We have been recognised as the Best Varicose Vein Clinic in the North West of England for five consecutive years.

We provide modern, minimally invasive treatments for patients who choose private healthcare, including those who are unable to access the treatment they require through the NHS.

Our reputation has been built on excellent clinical outcomes, outstanding patient care and a friendly, supportive environment.

The clinic is part of Implantly, a growing UK healthcare group with ambitious plans for national expansion and a strong commitment to investing in its people, clinical services and long-term career development.

The Role

Following a structured and fully funded training programme, you will develop the skills required to become a Nurse Microsclerotherapist.

Once competency has been achieved, you will independently run your own nurse-led clinics, assessing and treating patients with thread veins using microsclerotherapy.

You will also work closely with our Consultant Vein Specialist, acting as scrub nurse and assisting during minimally invasive endovenous procedures performed under local anaesthetic.

Alongside your clinical responsibilities, you will take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic, helping maintain excellent standards of patient care, organisation, clinical governance and CQC compliance.

This is a hands-on position within a small, close-knit team, so flexibility, teamwork and a willingness to take ownership are important.

Key Responsibilities Clinical

  • Complete our fully funded specialist training programme in microsclerotherapy.
  • Run independent nurse-led microsclerotherapy clinics once competency has been achieved.
  • Assess patients for thread vein treatment and provide clear education, reassurance and post-procedure advice.
  • Scrub and assist the Consultant during minimally invasive varicose vein procedures.
  • Support patients throughout their treatment journey and provide an excellent standard of care.
  • Maintain accurate electronic patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure clinical equipment is maintained and ready for use.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of infection prevention and clinical safety.
  • Clinic Management
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the Liverpool clinic.
  • Help ensure continued compliance with CQC regulations and clinical governance requirements.
  • Maintain clinic policies, procedures and quality assurance processes.
  • Oversee stock control, ordering and equipment management.
  • Coordinate clinic schedules and patient flow.
  • Support clinical audits and continuous quality improvement.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure the clinic operates efficiently and professionally.
  • Help create an outstanding experience for every patient who attends the clinic.
  • Full Specialist Training Provided

You do not need previous experience in vein treatments.

We are looking for the right nurse with the right attitude, clinical foundations and willingness to learn. We will provide the specialist training.

Your training and ongoing mentorship will include

  • Microsclerotherapy
  • Scrub nursing for endovenous procedures
  • Specialist vein treatment pathways
  • Patient assessment and selection
  • Patient education and aftercare
  • Clinical governance
  • CQC compliance
  • Advanced procedural nursing skills

You will be supported throughout your training and as you progress towards working independently.

About You

You will need to be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.

Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who combines excellent clinical standards with warmth, precision and confidence.

You should be

  • Caring and passionate about providing outstanding patient care.
  • A genuinely warm and confident communicator.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility.
  • Able to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member.
  • Keen to develop specialist procedural skills within private healthcare.
  • Committed to high standards of clinical practice, governance and patient safety.
  • Detail-focused, reliable and professional.
  • Comfortable working closely with patients who are awake throughout their procedures.

Excellent manual dexterity is particularly important.

Microsclerotherapy involves treating very small veins, often under magnification, so you will need the patience, precision and appetite to develop these fine procedural skills.

A great bedside manner is equally important.

Our patients are awake throughout their treatments, so how you communicate with and reassure a patient matters just as much as your technical ability.

Previous experience in theatre nursing, day surgery, vascular services, dermatology, aesthetics or outpatient procedures would be advantageous, but is not essential.

What We Offer

  • Starting salary from £30,000 per annum for a 20-hour working week.
  • Fully funded specialist training in microsclerotherapy and vein treatments.
  • No nights, weekends or on-call.
  • Predictable daytime working hours.
  • Your own nurse-led treatment clinics once trained and competent.
  • A varied specialist nursing role with genuine clinical autonomy.
  • The opportunity to lead the day-to-day running of an award-winning clinic.
  • Close training and mentorship from an experienced Consultant Vein Specialist.
  • A friendly, supportive and experienced team.
  • Ongoing professional development.
  • Career progression opportunities as Implantly continues to grow.

Why Join Us?

This is not simply another nursing job.

It is an opportunity to develop a specialist clinical skill, run your own treatment clinics and take on a leadership role within an established private healthcare service.

For the right nurse, it offers an attractive combination of clinical work, autonomy, patient relationships, professional development and predictable working hours.

If you are ready for a fresh challenge and would like to build specialist expertise while becoming an important part of a growing healthcare organisation, we would like to hear from you.
