Overview

Impington Village College is recruiting Level1 Teaching Assistants to work in our exceptional SEND department from September2026.

The role is part‑time, 32.5 hours per week (5 days), with a pro‑rated salary of £20,938‑£21,267 depending on points2‑3.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEND in lessons, ensuring they meet their full potential.
  • Deliver small‑group and individual interventions, while students participate in mainstream education.
  • Lead training and CPD sessions for teaching assistants and teachers, sharing expertise.
  • Assist with the implementation of EHCPs for nearly100 students.
  • Collaborate with the Cavendish School and our Enhanced Resource unit for post‑16 provision.

Qualifications

  • Level1 certification.
  • Experience working with SEND students, including those with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding.
