An exciting interim opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to lead an Adult Social Care Financial Assessment Service during a period of transformation and change. In this role, you will: * Lead and motivate a team of financial assessment and income collection officers to deliver a high-performing, customer-focused service. * Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely financial assessments in line with statutory requirements, including the Care Act 2014. * Drive service improvements, identify efficiencies, and implement innovative solutions, including automation and digitisation of processes. * Partner with senior leaders, elected members, and external organisations to ensure best practice in income collection, welfare reform, and financial resilience for residents. * Monitor performance, manage budgets effectively, and provide strategic advice to stakeholders. * Deputise for the Head of Service as required. We’re looking for someone who has: * A proven track record of managing financial assessment or income collection services within Adult Social Care. * Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to coach, support, and motivate. * Experience of service transformation, implementing projects to time and budget, and improving collection rates. * Excellent political awareness, with the ability to work constructively with elected members, colleagues, and external partners. * Up-to-date knowledge of Adult Social Care charging frameworks, income-related assessments, and welfare benefits.
