Are you a proactive Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias and a passion for automation? We have a great opportunity to join the growing engineering team at our client's busy and highly automated distribution centre located on the outskirts of Mansfield.
As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of state-of-the-art material handling equipment including:
- Robot automated storage and retrieval systems
- A wide range of conveyor systems
- Shuttles
- Cross belt and shoe sortation equipment
- End of line boxing and bagging machines
Being part of the dedicated Automation team is a physically demanding position that will also require you to work at height, which you will receive full training on when you join the business. Key responsibilities:
- Planned Routine Maintenance
- Respond to breakdowns proactively to limit downtime taking ownership of issues
- Strong attention to detail
- CMMS use
- Service and repair of equipment on site
- Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines
- Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 Multi Skilled Engineer
- A solid understanding of PLCs
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience
- Computer literate
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Work proactively managing time effectively
- Ability to work independently
- Confidently work at height
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: £52,500
- Shift: 4 on 4 off Days & Nights (6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am)
