We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Technician with a Minimum Level 3 Electrical Qualification to join our client at their busy Distribution Centre in Wakefield. Working with the established Engineering Team you will be responsible for the planned maintenance, breakdowns and automation so will need to have a proactive approach limiting downtime on a wide range of equipment including high speed packaging machinery, automated conveyor systems etc. This is a varied role and you will be involved in ongoing site projects and overseeing the maintenance technicians workloads are distributed and that the maintenance of high volume picking machinery is carried out correctly. This is a key role in the business and you will manage the maintenance operations of the facility ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency.
Key Responsibilities for a Senior Maintenance Technician:
- Perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance
- Electrically; System testing, field wiring, system calibration, interpreting circuit diagrams
- Knowledge of automated, electrical and pneumatics machinery
- Strong Attention to detail
- CMMS use
- Service and repair of equipment on site
- Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines
- Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements
- Hands on ownership of issues
Qualifications, Skills and Experience for a Senior Maintenance Technician:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification Electrical Qualification
- Technical department experience especially in maintenance
- Experience with working on automated conveyor systems
- Confidently read schematic diagrams
- A solid understanding of Health and Safety policies
- Technical knowledge of electrical/pneumatic/mechanical equipment
- Excellent understanding of automated equipment
- Both Electrical and Mechanical skills
- Root cause analysis skill
- Experience with Siemens S7 Tia portal would be an advantage
- Strong Communicator
- Organised and good time management skills
