Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights)

We are looking for a proactive Mechanically Bias Shift Technician to join the engineering team at our client's busy manufacturing site in Lincoln. Although you will be responding to breakdowns, you will largely be responsible for the planned maintenance schedule ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of the manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities of a Shift Technician:

  • Quality Checks of maintenance activities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Standards at all times
  • Demonstrate hands-on ownership and confidence when responding to breakdowns
  • Prioritise system faults
  • Accurately record work carried out
  • Collaborate with colleagues
  • Ensure CMMS is correctly updated

Experience and Qualifications required for a Shift Technician:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification, Time Served Apprenticeship
  • Good understanding of Siemens / Allen Bradley
  • Good understanding of SCADA control systems
  • Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good manufacturing practices
