We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Engineering Team at our client's manufacturing site in Skelmersdale, producing a wide range of recognised snacks.
Working in this fast-paced manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for the planned maintenance schedule and responding to breakdowns, keeping downtime to a minimum and ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of the manufacturing equipment.
The ideal candidate will be Apprentice Trained with a Mechanical Bias and a good understanding of electrical engineering, ensuring safety standards and procedures are prioritised at all times.

Key Responsibilities of a Shift Technician:
- Quality Checks of maintenance activities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance
- Adhere to Health and Safety Standards at all times
- Demonstrate hands-on ownership and confidence when responding to breakdowns
- Prioritise system faults
- Accurately record work carried out
- Collaborate with colleagues
- Ensure CMMS is correctly updated
Experience and Qualifications required for a Shift Technician:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification, Time Served Apprenticeship
- Good understanding of Siemens / Allen Bradley
- Good understanding of SCADA control systems
- Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Good manufacturing practices
Salary and Benefits of a Shift Technician:
- Annual Salary: £58,943 (inclusive of shift allowance)
