We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client at their busy distribution centre in West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of machinery, including storage retrieval systems, conveyors, A frames, box erectors, totes, and banding machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
- Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime.
- Carrying out fault-finding on motors, sensors, drives, control systems, pumps, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Installing, modifying, and commissioning equipment where required.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing relevant documentation.
- Working closely with production and other departments to resolve engineering issues.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company health & safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised engineering environment.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 Qualification or Equivalent.
- Experience with fault finding and continuous improvements.
- Previous experience in a maintenance role within the Engineering & Manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
