We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client at their busy distribution centre in West Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of machinery, including storage retrieval systems, conveyors, A frames, box erectors, totes, banding machinery to name a few.
Key Responsibilities for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
- Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime.
- Carrying out fault-finding on motors, sensors, drives, control systems, pumps, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Installing, modifying, and commissioning equipment where required.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing relevant documentation.
- Working closely with production and other departments to resolve engineering issues.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company health & safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised engineering environment.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician
- Minimum Level 3 Qualification or Equivalent
- Experience with fault finding, continuous improvements
- Previous experience in a maintenance role within the Engineering & Manufacturing sector
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices. xiskglj
- Experience with CMMS systems.
