Imperium Financial Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a highly respected and growing professional services firm to recruit a Transfer Pricing Assistant Manager / Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious transfer pricing professional looking to join a growing and entrepreneurial tax team. The Opportunity

Working closely with senior tax leadership, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of transfer pricing advisory and compliance services to corporate clients across multiple sectors. The role offers exposure to both UK and international businesses and provides significant client contact and project management responsibility. The team operates across London and Manchester, with flexibility for the successful candidate to be based in either location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer Pricing Advisory & Compliance
    • Planning and designing transfer pricing policies across a range of transaction types including tangible goods, services, intellectual property and financing arrangements.
    • Advising clients on the implementation of transfer pricing policies, including operational and financial testing.
    • Reviewing intercompany financing arrangements.
    • Preparing and reviewing transfer pricing documentation, including: Master Files, Local Files, Country-by-Country Reporting, Benchmarking Studies.
    • Conducting thin capitalisation reviews.
    • Performing transfer pricing risk assessments and advising on remediation strategies.
    • Supporting Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) and Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) cases.
    • Assisting clients with tax authority enquiries and dispute resolution.
    • Advising on wider international tax considerations including withholding taxes, VAT, customs duties and permanent establishment risks.
  • Client Management
    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
    • Delivering exceptional client service and managing multiple deadlines effectively.
    • Managing work‑in‑progress (WIP) and billing processes to ensure commercial recoveries.
    • Coordinating with wider tax, audit and accounting teams to deliver projects efficiently.
    • Ensuring compliance with internal risk management procedures.
  • Team Leadership
    • Delegating work to junior team members.
    • Reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.
    • Supporting the training and development of junior staff.
    • Contributing to a collaborative and high‑performing team culture.
  • Additional Project Work
    • Supporting tender proposals and business development initiatives.
    • Assisting with due diligence projects.
    • Providing transfer pricing support on tax audits.
    • Participating in marketing and networking initiatives.
    • Collaborating with international member firms on cross‑border assignments.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven transfer pricing experience gained within practice and/or industry.
  • A strong understanding of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
  • Excellent technical knowledge across transfer pricing and international tax matters.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering projects to deadline.
  • The ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to non‑tax specialists.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills.

Qualifications

You will ideally hold one of the following professional qualifications: ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT or an equivalent qualification.
