A leading firm of Insolvency Practitioners based in Cheshire is seeking an experienced Corporate Insolvency Manager or Assistant Manager to join its growing and highly regarded insolvency team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated insolvency professional to take the next step in their career within a well-established practice handling a varied and high-quality caseload. The role offers exposure to a broad range of corporate insolvency and restructuring matters, with clear progression opportunities and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases from appointment through to closure
  • Handling procedures including CVLs, MVLs, Administrations, and compulsory liquidations
  • Supporting and working closely with Insolvency Practitioners on complex assignments
  • Reviewing case work prepared by junior staff, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance
  • Acting as a key point of contact for Directors, creditors, solicitors, and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring all case work is completed in line with SIPs, statutory requirements, and internal procedures
  • Assisting with staff supervision, training, and development (Manager level)
  • Contributing to process improvements and best practice within the team

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within corporate insolvency, ideally at Assistant Manager or Manager level
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate insolvency procedures
  • CPI, JIEB, or progressing towards professional insolvency qualifications preferred
  • Ability to manage cases autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff (Manager level)
