The Company:

Our client is a growing and well-respected firm of Insolvency Practitioners based in Manchester. With an expanding portfolio of distressed property assets, they are seeking an experienced LPA Property Manager to oversee the management and disposal of properties held under Law of Property Act (LPA) receiverships. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the firm’s continued success.

The Role:

As an LPA Property Manager, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and strategic disposal of distressed property assets. You will work closely with insolvency practitioners, lenders, and stakeholders to maximise asset value and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of properties subject to LPA receivership, ensuring efficient management and disposal strategies.
  • Liaise with lenders, insolvency practitioners, property agents, legal professionals, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct property inspections, valuations, and risk assessments.
  • Manage property maintenance, security, and compliance with legal obligations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for property disposals to maximise recovery values.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including the Landlord and Tenant Act and insolvency legislation.
  • Oversee rent collection, service charge administration, and tenant management where applicable.
  • Provide detailed reports and recommendations on property performance and disposal strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and growth within the LPA property sector.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in property management, ideally within an insolvency, LPA receivership, or distressed asset environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK property law, insolvency regulations, and the LPA receivership process.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise confidently with lenders, agents, and legal professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess property risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties effectively.
  • Membership of RICS, NAEA, or similar professional body (preferred but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
