Appointment-Taking Corporate Insolvency Practitioner

The Opportunity
An established and busy firm of Corporate Insolvency Practitioners is seeking a qualified, licensed Insolvency Practitioner to join the business on a part-time basis.
The successful candidate will take corporate insolvency appointments and provide appropriate statutory and technical oversight across a varied portfolio of cases. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner seeking a flexible appointment-taking role within a professional and supportive firm.
The Role
Working closely with the firm’s directors, managers and case administration teams, you will act as an appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner across a range of corporate insolvency assignments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking appointments on corporate insolvency cases
- Acting as office holder and fulfilling all associated statutory and regulatory responsibilities
- Reviewing proposed appointments and assessing relevant commercial, legal and compliance risks
- Providing professional oversight throughout the lifecycle of each case
- Advising managers and case administrators on complex technical matters
- Reviewing case strategy, investigations, asset realisations and distributions
- Ensuring cases comply with insolvency legislation, Statements of Insolvency Practice and regulatory requirements
- Monitoring case progression, quality and statutory deadlines
- Reviewing and approving reports, proposals and other statutory documentation
- Liaising with directors, creditors, solicitors, accountants and other stakeholders
- Supporting the firm’s internal compliance and quality-control procedures
- Working collaboratively with any joint appointees
- Contributing to the continued development and success of the practice
The Successful Candidate
Applicants must be qualified and licensed to take corporate insolvency appointments.
You should also possess:
- Proven experience of taking corporate insolvency appointments
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate insolvency legislation and procedures
- Experience of CVLs, administrations, compulsory liquidations and other corporate assignments
- Sound commercial judgment and risk awareness
- The confidence to provide technical leadership and challenge where appropriate
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- A thorough understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations
- The ability to work effectively with senior professionals and case delivery teams
- A practical, professional and collaborative approach
Working Arrangements
This position is available on a part-time basis, with the specific working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.
The firm is willing to discuss flexible arrangements depending on the candidate’s experience, availability and circumstances. The role may suit an established appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner seeking to reduce their working week or combine the position with other professional commitments.
