The Opportunity

As Head of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Department, you will be central to building the department’s capabilities and expanding its reach. This is a unique chance for a senior lawyer with entrepreneurial drive to establish a department within a growing, well-resourced practice. You’ll manage a team, drive strategic goals, and act as a trusted adviser to a wide range of clients including insolvency practitioners, lenders, and commercial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Business Recovery and Insolvency Department
  • Advise on all aspects of corporate insolvency, including administration, liquidation, receivership, and restructuring
  • Manage a caseload of complex contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and complex negotiations
  • Collaborate with the litigation, conveyancing, and corporate teams to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through strategic insight and excellent service delivery
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and support staff
  • Stay current on insolvency law, regulations, and market developments
