Accounts Semi Senior Location: Wilmslow Working Arrangements: Hybrid and flexible working Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience Employment Type: Full-time, permanent The Opportunity A well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Wilmslow is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Semi Senior. The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive team, preparing accounts primarily for hospital doctors operating through sole trader, partnership and limited company structures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accountancy practice experience who would like to develop their technical knowledge while working with an interesting and specialist client portfolio. Key Responsibilities Preparing annual accounts for hospital doctors Producing sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts Preparing financial statements under FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105 Preparing corporation tax returns, including CT600s Reviewing accounting records and identifying missing or outstanding information Communicating directly with clients regarding queries and information requirements Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines Maintaining clear and up-to-date client records Supporting senior colleagues and managers as required Skills and Experience Previous experience preparing accounts within a firm of Chartered Accountants or accountancy practice Experience producing sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts Knowledge of FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105 Experience preparing CT600 corporation tax returns Good written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organisational ability Confidence dealing directly with clients Ability to manage competing assignments and meet deadlines AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates will be considered Previous experience working with medical professionals would be advantageous but is not essential Working Environment and Benefits The firm offers a flexible and accommodating working environment, including: Hybrid working, with at least 50% of working time spent in the Wilmslow office Flexible start and finish times Paid overtime Office closure between Christmas and New Year, without using annual leave entitlement Casual office attire Supportive and friendly team environment Opportunities for professional development and progression This position would suit an Accounts Semi Senior seeking a varied role, flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to develop within an established and supportive accountancy practice.
