By introducing technology and digitisation into a traditionally offline, relationship‐driven market, the firm is driving greater efficiency, transparency and security across global supply chains.

Following a successful fundraise and with ambitious expansion plans in place, our client is seeking a commercially driven Junior Fertilizer Trader/Sales Broker to join their London team. This is an opportunity to work directly alongside experienced industry professionals while playing a key role in business development and revenue growth.

The Role

This position is centred on origination and client acquisition within international fertilizer trading markets. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective counterparties, building a pipeline of new business opportunities, and supporting the execution of trades through the firm's evolving digital platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively sourcing and developing new client relationships across global fertilizer markets
  • Building and maintaining a structured pipeline through cold outreach, email campaigns, LinkedIn engagement and industry networking
  • Presenting and promoting the company's digital procurement platform, articulating its commercial and operational benefits
  • Supporting the onboarding of new clients and assisting in the management of existing accounts
  • Maintaining accurate and organised records through CRM systems
  • Monitoring market activity, analysing supply and demand dynamics, and identifying emerging commercial opportunities
  • Working closely with senior brokers and leadership to support broader growth initiatives

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals with a strong commercial instinct and a genuine interest in agricultural or commodity markets. The successful candidate will be motivated by business development, comfortable engaging new contacts, and eager to build a long‐term career in trading.

Experience and Attributes

  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business in a competitive, fast‐paced environment
  • Background in sales, business development, brokerage or trading
  • Exposure to agricultural markets or commodities (internship or professional experience advantageous) preferred
  • Confident and proactive approach to cold outreach and pitching
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret market information
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales tools
  • Highly organised, detail‐oriented and collaborative in approach
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to succeed
  • A genuine desire to enter the commodity trading/brokerage markets
