The Role
Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with one of the region’s leading further education providers to appoint a dedicated Assessor to manage a caseload of learners, supporting them through their training and guiding them towards successful achievement of their qualifications, including full Apprenticeship standards. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality learning programmes and assessments, while working closely with employers to ensure learners receive the support, development and opportunities they need to reach their goals. With a strong focus on learner progress, you will play a key part in motivating individuals, helping them overcome barriers, and inspiring them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify realistic learning priorities and, in liaison with the employer, develop individual learning plans and agree realistic completion targets. This will include ensuring that employers have a full understanding of the requirement for Apprentices to complete 20% off the job training.
- Develop, manage and maintain good relationships with external partners, local employers and appropriate agencies to recruit learners.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers to promote learning and timely achievement of the agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.
- Maintain a minimum caseload of learners. Assist them to achieve the Apprenticeship Standard and prepare them for End Point Assessment.
- Support full cost courses such as NVQs if required.
- Develop business with existing employers and identifying new opportunities.
- Work in a team to plan and deliver a structured scheme of work and develop lesson plans that meet the learning needs of learners and the delivery and assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Level 3 or equivalent in relevant occupational area - Essential
- English and Maths GCSE grade C or above- or equivalent – Essential
- TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards - Desirable.
- Teaching qualification – Desirable.
- Award in Internal Verification or V1- Desirable.
