Location: Sunderland

Salary: £27,000 per annum plus shift allowance

Hours: Day and night shifts

Benefits: Overtime is available, 1.5x outside of normal hours, 2x on Sundays and bank holidays

Type: Permanent

Duties:

  • Contribute to ensuring that factory targets are met with regard to OE, SKU adherence, Wastage minimisation, Quality, Health and Safety and Overhead Cost Control.
  • Ensure that Housekeeping and Hygiene standards are met and maintained within designated line area.
  • Consistently demonstrate a high level of behavioural performance with respect to attitude, contribution and teamwork.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with training standards and best practice complying with Health and Safety rules and regulations and Policies and Procedures.
  • Input into and take ownership of all CWS activity within designated line area.
  • Take ownership and consistently strive for excellence in all aspects within designated line area.
  • Undertake rudimentary maintenance tasks, product and size changeovers of equipment within designated line area.
  • Provide specific support and guidance when required for the development of others on equipment and CWS activities within designated line area.

Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • 1 years’ experience in an Operations production environment, ideally FMCG
  • Sound knowledge of site HSE processes and application
  • Understanding of CWS and continuous improvement activities
  • Working knowledge and application of first line engineering/Lubrication procedures
  • HACCP / Food Safety awareness
  • Basic numeric and literacy skills
  • Level 1 Qualification
  • Basic Hygiene
