Imperial Recruitment Group are currently working with a family run engineering business who are currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both programming and setting CNC milling machines, with a strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and set CNC milling machines for production
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for materials and operations
- Ensure high standards of quality and accuracy are met
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on machines
- Work to tight tolerances and deadlines
- Collaborate with the production team to optimise workflow and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller with the ability to programme and set machines
- Strong understanding of CNC programming languages - Siemens would be preferable.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Keen eye for detail and quality control
- Good problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
