Working under the Head of Collections Access and Research, the Research and Knowledge Exchange Manager will help develop IWM's research capacity as an Independent Research Organisation (IRO) and embed knowledge exchange within IWM's research programme.
The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to shape a strategic research and knowledge exchange environment. The post holder will support the development and delivery of IWM's research strategy, advise on research collaborations, and assist in preparing funding bids. They will also help develop research procedures, engage with networks, and support IWM's Collaborative Doctoral Partnership programme.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Develop IWM's research capacity, focusing on funding opportunities and partnerships that bring impactful outcomes.
- Leverage staff expertise and museum resources for research and KE activities.
Job Requirements:
- Facilitate staff research skills development and share best practices.
- Manage research grants finances according to procedures and funder requirements.
- Recommend policies to support academic funding opportunities.
- Contribute to research strategy, policies, and event planning.
