To do this, we need to put our members at the heart of everything we do. The Membership Recruitment Manager is a critical role and one that is essential in leading and delivering the change needed to grow IWM membership and realise our vision. This is an important leadership role and one that will require a collaborative approach to improve the performance, motivation and overall success of IWM membership.
Through supporting, coaching and motivating teams, this role will focus on driving up face-to-face (F2F) membership recruitment across our 5 museums including developing innovative ways to optimise recruitment at our two air shows each year. This will be the priority in year one, with a focus in developing further membership growth initiatives, including off-site recruitment opportunities as appropriate.
Leading high performance in Face-to-Face (F2F) membership recruitment:- Inspire and support key Front of House (FOH) stakeholders including Retail and Admissions, Visitor Experience and Volunteering Engagement through training and coaching in membership recruitment, to deliver IWM F2F membership recruitment targets across all 5 museums.
- Embed a membership and supporter experience culture across all our museums, in line with our Visitor Experience, Membership and Donations strategies.
- Collaborate with FOH team leaders across Visitor Experience, Volunteering Engagement, Retail & Admissions to co-ordinate, track and communicate internal performance reports.
- Create energy and build a supportive and motivated team culture and take a lead role working with these teams in ensuring action is taken across our F2F membership in-branch operation to recruit and retain members.
- Accountable for ensuring that membership training, support and resources are in place for all FOH staff and volunteers.
- Accountable for all F2F membership recruitment activity compliance, including data management.
- Responsible for managing income and expenditure budgets, including agreeing and setting targets for FOH teams.
- Responsible for developing and implementing face-to-face (F2F) membership acquisition plans including performance and success measures across all 5 museums in line with our membership strategy, and Corporate Plan.
- Work with the Membership Manager, who is responsible for membership retention, to ensure F2F membership recruitment aligns with our retention strategy and plans. This includes collaborating with the Membership Manager to ensure successful delivery and management of member communications, events programming and follow up action from feedback insight on the membership recruitment experience.
- Assist the Head of Membership in setting direction, building capability and enabling collaboration across all IWM teams to achieve ownership and support for our IWM membership vision and strategy.
- As part of the Membership Team play an active role in the ongoing development of IWMs membership strategy and business model, including developing other initiatives and projects.
