The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Operative to join our team. This Operative will be responsible for performing various tasks within completed new homes, occupied new homes and homes which are stock and pending legal completion. This colleague will be required to work both alongside colleagues and independently so a strong work ethic and accountability is needed.
As our operatives work in occupied new homes, similar experience is desirable. An understanding of what is, and is not, a defect or snag is important in managing daily workloads and customer interactions.
Operatives are required to follow strict procedures on workplace management i.e. covering areas prior to working; ensuring a professional approach at all times; a high standard of finish; cleaning up after working; ensuring safety practices are followed.
An up to date understanding and knowledge of health and safety working practices is a requirement and an understanding of working where customers are present is key to this role. Ideally the candidate will also demonstrate the ability to investigate issues and where needed identify root causes and steps to resolve them.
A branded van is supplied and candidates should be competent driving a large vehicle and hold a clean, full licence.
Working hours are 8.30 - 5.30 which includes time for updating the office daily on works completed, any follow on works needed and for obtaining any materials required for forthcoming works.
