Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an industry leading business based in Blaydon who design, manufacture, supply and install architectural aluminium glazing products in their search for a Stores Manager (Engineering).

Salary: Competitive

Location: Blaydon

Type: Permanent

Overview of the role:

  • Receive, check and cross reference all incoming material with delivery notes and pass confirmation to office.
  • Report any defects or items missing from a delivery.
  • Ensure all material is stored in an orderly manner and that it is secure.
  • Control and monitor all outgoing stock.
  • Check requisition notes from design department against stock to prevent over ordering.
  • Identify all excess stock and propose its return to supplier to the PM as necessary.
  • Ensure that all areas you are responsible for are clean and tidy.
  • Undertake stock takes every 6 months as directed by the Production Manager.
  • Support the delivery process of material and fixings to site, information to be supplied on a requisition form by Installation team members.
  • Organise and ensure prompt dispatch of glass to site as required, ensure accuracy of delivery notes.
  • Ensure all paint orders are met and that their delivery and pick up is addressed.
  • Ensure that a system is in place to re-stock all vans on a rotation basis.
  • Ensure that you enter all necessary data into Pegasus.
  • Manage the deliveries going out to site and pickups, compile delivery notes when not present, share delivery information via delivery board.
  • Load all empty stillages as indicated by Installation Admin.
  • Liaise with Project Manager to keep him informed of any changes/shortfalls to stock.
  • Fulfil factory requisition notes for following day/week provided by factory supervisors.
  • Ensure the stores & yards are tidy.
  • Open and lock up as required.
  • Load Plant/Scaffold & MRTs etc as required by site, details from Installation Admin normally.
  • Book materials into Pegasus.
