The Role As Production Manager, you will lead a large production team at the Newton Aycliffe site, inspiring and developing people while embedding accountability, coaching, and continuous growth. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on combining people leadership with operational best practice to deliver results. Key Responsibilities * Inspire, support, and develop a high-performing production team. * Promote a positive culture built on accountability and continuous improvement. * Drive operational best practices, including Lean, SOPs, 5S, TPM and SMED. * Ensure operators are fully trained, competent, and supported with clear development plans. * Work closely with the supply chain to meet production demand. * Champion 5S principles and TPM improvements to maintain a world-class environment. * Reduce downtime and improve efficiency through data-driven insights. * Manage costs effectively, including overtime, waste, and consumables. * Lead stock management to ensure accuracy and audit readiness. * Represent production during site audits and customer visits. About You * Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced production or process environment. * Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods. * Track record of building and developing high-performing teams. * Excellent problem-solving, root cause analysis, and communication skills. * Ability to influence, coach, and collaborate at all levels. * Ideally, experience managing production in a regulated environment.
